VWA Director Appointment

The VWA would like to welcome Sofia Zudova to the board. A former weightlifter, Sofia retired from competitive weightlifting in 2019 and is keen to assist the VWA in our goal of promoting weightlifting to the wider community. As a former high performance athlete herself, Sofia understands the need to cater to both grassroots athletes as well as the more elite end of the spectrum. Her participation in multiple sports over the years, combined with her work in the customer service and professional advisory industries means Sofia will have valuable insights and contributions regarding changes required to build successful sporting organisations. We are keen to see the new perspectives to ongoing challenges that the VWA faces, as well as creating new initiatives that are ready to implement when the 2020 competition calendar can recommence.
